XCode4 takes up way too much space (~15GB with the installer). After you’ve downloaded the 3+ GB installer, right click and select “Show Package Contents”. Under Contents > Resources there will be a mpkg that will allow you to customize your install (ie. ignore the 5GB iOS SDK and extra options).
