ITP on Rails

Things are looking good on the enrollment front for the course I’ve been planning Agile Web Development. I’ve been working on my examples, website and collecting readings, tutorials and all the Rails goodness I can find.

It has really been thrilling (or scary?) planning for this class. It’s like my first day of school. I keep wondering if the other kids will like me and if I’ll learn lots. Well, at this stage I’ve already learned so much and the whole process has been really good for me. I’m picking up so much more about Ruby and Rails; you learn so much by teaching.

I’m still tweaking and updating the course site. Right now, I’m in the process of writing up tutorials and doing some screencasts. There’s still a bit more tweaking to do and a few features that I’d like to add to it. I’m worried that my lighttpd setup is going to flake on me. So much to do and only 10 days left.

I’m not sure when enrollment ends, but they’ll be telling me soon if the class is going through. The word so far is good, but another body or two would push it over.
