OSCON ‘05

Well, I made it to Oregon in one piece. I’m staying with friends-of-friends and man do they have a nice place. It’s warmer than I thought it would be but it’s not Eastern Seaboard muggy. I’m also realizing how much I miss the way the air smells on the West Coast. Ahh, the Pacific Northwest.

I’m staying in Chinatown/Oldtown, which really is spitting distance from the Convention Center (not to far from the airport either just a short light rail trip). Today, I think that I will wonder around a little and then go by and pick up my badge and information. I hope that the badges are cool, maybe not “F.B.I” cool but a catchy logo or something.

Tomorrow the fun starts at 8:30! Not so bad for me, since that’s 11:30 EST, but who knows what time my body thinks it is now. (sigh)
