More Power
I’m beginning to realize that I’ve become obsessed with my laptop’s battery life. With the 3 year warranty having just ended, I’ve been trying to figure out just what was causing the sudden exponential drop in juice before Apple refused to cover any of it. Several trips to the Apple Store and I wound up with bupkis, except my new obsession.

New Jobs
We’ve both started some new gigs…hence the deafening silence. Then there was the issue of the disappearing blog (or to be more specific disappearing lighttpd instances). Hopefully that’s fixed now, and things are so much speedier. Oh yes.
When my new job settles down a bit (hmm) then I’ll have more to add about what new (and maybe kind of cool) things I’m working on. Until then might I suggest...
Don't Say It's Over
It’s over.
I had a lot of fun, met some great hackers and learned some neat stuff. I am so exhausted. Portland Airport has free wifi throughout. “Awesome!”
Anyway, it’s back to New York and starting my residency at ITP. Hopefully it’s not all work (I’d like to try to get standing only tickets to Spamalot). I’m definitely feeling more confident and ready to face Red and tell her that it was...

FOSCON
I had somethings written up (oh and it was glorious too) and my battery shifted again and my power laptop lost power for the fifth time this week. Ouch. If you have a TiBook that needs a new battery, perhaps it is best to avoid NewerTech batteries (the capacity boost is great though…darn).

A Pythonic Day
Today was my day of Python. I really enjoyed this morning’s session. It was really helpful to go through and explain some guidelines and best practices for getting things done simply (or lazily if you perfer) in Python.
One trick for figuring out what methods are invoked when using special methods such as add lets you trace through like so:
